Interview Tips

1. Set Impression Early

You should create impression from the very beginning. If it takes too long you might don't get enough chances to prove yourself.

2. Be on schedule

There is no consideration with this. You should take extra time before leaving home.

3. Turn off Phone

If you don't turn off your cell phone, it can started ringing at the middle of your answer and also show lack of preparation.

4. Learn about the organization

Learn about the company, its objective, working area, mission and so on. Also, prepare an answer why you want to work there.

5. Bring resume

Bring a copy of resume. It shows you're prepared and serious about getting the job.

6. Bring pen and paper

This is a subtle thing to do. Only a few people will do this and it shows your seriousness.

7. Dress in a clean conservative manner

Make sure you go into a job interview having showered and wearing clean clothes. If you like wearing cologne or perfume, don't wear any on the day of the interview. What's subtle smelling to you may be overwhelming to your interviewer.

8. Avoid funny stuff

You should show good sense of humor but don't make fun yourself.

9. Don't hesitate

Answer to the point and be honest. If you don't know an answer, say it politely.

10. Don't badmouth a boss

Bad mouthing a previous boss in a job interview is a huge negative. They may have been the worst boss in the world but expressing that in a job interview is a huge mistake.

11. Be Serious with the interviewer

It's a simple thing to remember.

12. Be Formal

Should not nervous and follow proper dress code. Don't show lack of confidence.

13. Be Brief

Avoid unnecessary detail.

14. Focus

Maintain good eye contact and focus on the interviewers.

15. Should have objectives

You should know what you want to be in few years. This will create impression that you are clear about your targets.

16. Be Interactive

Not only you answer all the time. After answering questions, you should also ask few questions about your work. You should show more interest about the position and workplace.

17. Thank you note

Send a thank you note or mail to your interviewer. It will show your interests to the job.
